Even though you can’t judge a book by its cover, or so they say, looking good on the outside certainly doesn’t hurt what ideas people formulate regarding what’s on the inside.
No one wants to walk into industrial units that look like a dump and do business with whoever is inside. Just driving past a building like that makes you consider going to the next town hall meeting and having that building declared an eyesore and a public nuisance. Unless you plan on spending additional money, which you could undoubtedly use elsewhere, on a major outdoor overhaul… You would be better served by buying or leasing a building that is aesthetically pleasing indoors and out.
Make sure that there is room for both when choosing an industrial property. Should your business really take off, as is everyone’s goal, you may need room to expand and possibly create other branches of your business. A strong industrial property will have the space and/or means with which to do so.
A company is only as strong as the people working in it; it’s also only as attractive and strong as its outer wrapping appears.
